Mentor Upstate

The Frazee Center has formed Mentor Upstate which partners with upstate school districts to launch mentoring programs for students who need extra support. An individual interested in being a mentor to a child in Greenville, Anderson, Pickens or Oconee County is asked to commit at least 30 minutes a week to meet with a child at school during his or her breakfast or lunchtime.

To help prepare and educate mentors and potential mentors, Mentor Upstate conducts 1-hour training sessions throughout the year. These training sessions equip interested community members to be mentors in schools. Mentor Upstate staff are available to hold training sessions on-site at businesses, churches and civic organizations across the upstate.
