The Frazee Center has partnered with three Greenville County elementary schools to launch mentoring programs for students who need extra support. An individual interested in being a mentor to a child in Stone Academy, Sterling School, or Fountain Inn Elementary will be asked to commit at least 30 minutes a week to meet with his or her mentee before or during the school day.
To help prepare and educate mentors and potential mentors, the Frazee Center will conduct 1-hour training sessions throughout the year. These training sessions will equip interested community members to be mentors in the schools listed above or in other schools that their children attend or that may be close to home or work.
Individuals or groups from churches or civic organizations are encouraged to attend these mentor training sessions. Frazee staff members are also available to hold training on site at businesses and churches.
